Some of the Best Quotes about growing old:

“Youth is the gift of nature,

but age

is a work of art.”

—Stanislaw Jerzy Lec

Sometime getting great quotes from old people who came before us can be so refreshing.

Because sometime we forget. We forget how magnificent we are. And, too often, we seniors don’t realize what a magical place we have reached. So, we need a bit of inspiration to get us back into a proper frame of mind. Right? I know I do.

Getting old can be Great! if we take the time to remember just how far we've come. And, how much there is left to enjoy.

Before we even get to the quotes about growing old:

Here is a great list of  "Ten Awesome Benefits to Growing Older"  from SmartLiving365. This is quite an eye opener! And, super refreshing.

This is OUR Time!

Yes. This is our time. This is our time to enjoy everything we can. It is not time to suffer in front of a TV.

There are so many great quotes about getting old because this is a very wonderful and magical place.

We are Special.

We are almost magical.

Never forget this. No matter how much of a challenge today may be.

Only us seniors have such a vast library of experience. And, life knowledge.

It doesn’t matter how smart some young person may be. It doesn’t matter if they got 800 on both their SATs. It doesn’t matter if they are 18 and MicroSoft and the US Army are buying computer programs from the.

ONLY age brings wisdom. The hard won kind. From experience. Failure and success. Love and heartbreak.

So, let’s take just half a minute here and there during our week to enjoy at least one or two great quotes about growing old. And, remember just how lucky we are NOW. And, let's be proud of who we have become.

We Are Magnificent!

We are Magnificent! Maybe we walk a little more slowly now. Or, even with a walker. Maybe we don’t quite remember everything. For that, we should sometimes be thankful. Am I right?

Maybe we’re not fast any more. OK. We definitely are not fast anymore.

BUT, we seniors know life better than anyone else. Yes, we do.

Because we are smarter? No, because we have more experience.

And, the multitude of experiences each of us has is why we can sit quietly, undisturbed, knowingly enjoying life’s progress as the younger ones go flailing around trying to conquer the world and everything in it.

We seniors already know a lot about the world that the young only dream of knowing. We know how it works better than any other age group.

We know why relationships and dreams fail. And, why they work. Just from our vast life experiences.

Never ever forget how amazing we have become. No matter how frail our bodies may be.

It’s All About Our Wealth
of
EXPERIENCE

EXPERIENCE. We have more than any other generation alive. Right? We have already taken the paths the young only still dream of.

Now, we don’t really care how fast the young people run. Although, it is Beautiful to see.

And, we don’t really care how “Hot” they are. We’ve long since past the point of procreation.

But, they want to know WHO we are. They want to know what they can expect to find in the years that come.

We already know who we are.

We have succeeded. AND, we have failed. Sometimes magnificently. Sometimes miserably.  And, we are still here.

We breathe. We wake up each morning. AND, we have more appreciation for each new sunrise than anyone else on this Earth. Maybe because we are very aware that there are not so many left as before.

Maybe because we have learned how precious each one is.

And, sometimes it just nice to sit back and hear what others like us have to say about getting this far in life. Especially when we see that the famous have the same thoughts as you and me. It's refreshing! It reminds us of how blessed we are.

We Are Blessed

Yes we are!

I know, it may not feel like it when we’re rubbing on the Ben-Gay and trying to find our glasses.

Yes, I walk slower now. Maybe too slow for some.

Yes, I don’t remember everything. But, at the end of the day, who really cares? Really?

Yes, I depend on you. Thank you for being here.

AND, Yes, we are the lucky ones.

Let’s talk a bit. Let’s indulge ourselves.

We deserve it!
